The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor at a Special Ceremony for US Navy SEAL, Matthew John Leathers, at the Colorado Freedom Memorial, 756 Telluride Street, Aurora, 80011 on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 5:15PM.

Special Warfare Operator (S01), Matthew J. Leathers, was (KIT) Killed In Training on February 19, 2013 during a training dive at Kaena Point, Hawaii. He joined the Navy in 1998 and began his SEAL Service in 2004. He was 33 years of age at the time of his death, was married and had three children. During his Service, he had deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan.

A Charitable Organization called "Thank You Seals", a Veterans Support group, will be presenting a beneficiary check and gifts to the Widow of S01 Leathers.

4:30PM - Stage at the Colorado Freedom Memorial
4:45PM - Mission Briefing
5:00PM - Form Flag Line in advance of the arrival of the family

We will maintain the Flag Line through the completion of the Ceremony

Gary Hand will serve as Ride Captain.

I will be honored to attend and will bring Flags.

I will forever be grateful for his service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country. Rest easy now, Matthew…those you have left behind to carry on without you have the watch.
