More Than A Headstone: The Lives and Legacies of Veterans at Fort Logan National Cemetery is an exhibit on display at the Anderson Academic Commons, University of Denver, 2150 East Evans Avenue, Denver, 80208. This exhibit is the result of a collaboration with the US Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Cemetery Administration and Universities across the country. At the University of Denver, fourteen undergraduate students with guidance from two professors researched the history of a number of Veterans who are interred at Fort Logan. The exhibit opened on November 9, 2018 and will be available for viewing until March 15, 2019. There is no cost to view the exhibit. The Anderson Academic Commons facility is open from 7:00AM until 2:00AM during the week and from 10:00AM until 10:00PM on the weekends.

The students and advisors did a wonderful job in their research. I visited the exhibit, this morning, and found it to be a very emotional experience. Two of the Veterans who were researched were the only women, buried at Fort Logan, who were Purple Heart recipients. At least two Navajo Code Talkers were researched. Four of the twelve Veterans who had artifacts added to the molten bronze used to forge the Honor Bell were featured. Many other Colorado heroes have their military history on display, as well

The Colorado PGR has had the honor of standing for a number of the Veterans that are included in the exhibit.

Also, at the Anderson Academic Commons, the DU Center for Ski History presents "A Mountaineer's View". More than three dozen frames hold the work of Jacques Parker, a member of the 10th Mountain Division, the first US Army winter combat infantry division. Mr. Parker's sketches and watercolor paintings provide a first-person account of a mountaineer's life in the military as well as skiing warfare.

There is a small ($2.00 per hour) parking lot on the east side of the building. The main entrance is on the south side of the Anderson Academic Commons facility.
