The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor at the Interment Service for William Francis Hellstern on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 at 11:00AM.

Mr. Hellstern was born in 1921 and died during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 at the age of 20. He was a casualty who was on board the USS Oklahoma. He and hundreds of his fellow sailors were buried in a mass grave at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Hawaii. Using modern DNA identification techniques at the forensic laboratory in Hawaii, GM2 Hellstern was recently identified.

If you wish to post condolences, please do so on the National PGR Site using the following link:
https://www.patriotguard.org/showthread.php?458621

10:15AM - Stage at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home Parking Lot (just inside the main entrance)
10:30AM - Mission Briefing
10:45AM - Form Flag Line at the Gravesite

There has been a request for the Colorado PGR to provide six pallbearers for the Interment Service for this American Hero. Hopefully we will have enough attendees to provide this support.

Kathy "Rat" Goldstein will serve as Ride Captain for this Service.

Jerry "TopSnow" Snowbarger will bring Flags.

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE: We will now only be standing in honor for GM2 Hellstern at his Interment Service at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

The family has decided to make the Funeral Service at the Ellis Family Services Chapel, private.

The initial post will be updated to reflect this change.
