We are coordinating with the City of La Junta to host a meet & greet and recognition ceremony for Troy Yocum and Hike for our Heroes on Monday, July 26 at 6 pm. It will be held at the Santa Fe Plaza, 1st Street (Hwy 50 East, 1 blk west of stoplight) and Santa Fe Avenue in La Junta, CO. We are inviting PGR, VFW, American Legion, etc and the general public to come and show your support for Troy and his mission to raise $5,000,000 for needy military families.
If we can get enough flags, it would be great to have a flag line but your presence is also blessing enough.
There will be a singing of the National Anthem and God Bless America, hopefully some entertainment and the bat signing. The City has proclaimed July 26 as "Hike for our Heroes Day."
Be there by 5:15 pm and remember he is walking, so patience is the word.
