I have been debating on whether to create a forum dedicated to this or just a message thread in the general forum, and have ultimately decided on a thread here..

In this thread we'll post the thank you letters and items of that nature that we receive.

Thank you for honoring Cpl. Larry Harris.

I am new to the web site and decided to come over after seeing the massive amount of support you organization showed to Cpl Larry Harris. He truly was a wonderful young man and a hero. Your organization’s presence on his last mission made my heart proud and my eyes tear. Please keep up the outstanding job you all do. Know that yours is a mission truly worthy of mention and vital to the integrity and honor of our dearly fallen comrades.
Please share my heartfelt thanks with all of the members who took the time out of their lives today to honor one of our countries greatest fallen heroes.
Sincerely and with reverence,
SSgt. Seth Poe

Thank you for honoring Cpl. Larry Harris.

I just wanted to share my appreciation for what you guys do. My husband's buddy, Larry Harris Jr. was laid to rest today. I had a sleepless night worrying about that cult that calls themselves a church who were going to be protesting and I received confirmation today that indeed, the Harris family did not even notice the protesters thanks to you guys. My husband is a US Marine and they definitely appreciate the support that you guys provide. I did not feel like your actions should go unmentioned. Thank you guys very much!

I received the following note. A big Thank You to all who make the ride out there it really meant a lot to the folks who loved Dennis.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you so much for coming to Buena Vista. It meant much to our small
community to have you here to honor one of our own. I know Fran was very
grateful to all of you and we were so surprised to have about 14 members show
up when we thought 2 or 3 might be all who could make it. Thanks again.

Thank you for honoring Cpl. Larry Harris
I just wanted to send a very huge THANK YOU to the Patriot Guard Riders who attended the funeral of Larry Harris last week. Larry is an amazing man, one of our best friends, and a true hero. My husband is still in Afghanistan, but he would like me to pass along his gratitude for all that you did for Larry. Your presence was heart stopping. The pride & respect shown by your members is one of the most incredible things I have ever witnessed. Thank you doesn't seem to be enough.
With much love & all my respect,
Michelle Krumrie

Thank you for honoring LCPL Brandon Pearson
Hello

We want to thank the Patriot Guard Riders who helped us after we learned of Lcpl Brandon Pearson's death.

We really want to thank the hardy soul who accompanied the procession from the airport to the mortuary in way below freezing temperatures.

The large Patriot Guard presence at the funeral was very moving and gave us a sense of safety.

Thanks guys and gals. We really appreciate you.

I cannot tell you how impressed, thankful and appreciative I am on behalf of me and my family for your mission on behalf of our beloved Robert J Hake. Frankly I was overwhelmed by your presence but could also feel the love being expressed for a superman of men…our loving husband, best friend, dad, grandpa and great grandpa. Thank you. Love and hugs from Pat Hake and the entire family.

Mr Malone,

I was at the funeral for Major "Klepto" Brodeur and just wanted say thanks for what you and your team did. He was a good friend and will be truly be missed. When we drove down from the chapel and to the gravesite and saw your members surrounding the cemetery with US Flags it sent chills down my spine. I know his family really appreciates your support. The family of Walter L. Huebner, a USAF WWII and Korean War veteran, wishes to thank the Patriot Guard Riders for their services. Your escort service to Ft. Logan on August 26th, and the flag line at the mortuary and cemetery were impressive and greatly appreciated. Walter was proud to serve his country and would have felt very honored by your presence.

Sincerely,

Ruth A. Huebner

I received this today:

I wanted to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing such an incredible job at SSG Cowdrey's funeral yesterday. I traveled from Ft. Bliss to support Jill Cowdrey and her boys as I am a fellow military wife and Jill's friend. I had recently gone to support the PGR at Ft Bliss for the funeral of SSG Christopher Diaz who was laid to rest on 12 October 2011. I felt proud to be there to support the family but did not truly know how much they would appreciate so many people being there. Unfortunately, having to attend the funeral of my dear friend's husband was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. But, as I rode in the line of cars on the way to the funeral and saw the hundreds of people standing in support, in addition to all of the PGR at the high school and the cemetery, it dawned on me just how vital your job is and how much it is appreciated. I cannot put into words how much it meant to us for you to be there protecting us. It was a beautiful service and your presence will NEVER be forgotten. Thank you.
