The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to attend the send off for some Ft. Carson-based troops deploying overseas in support of the global war on terror. This mission will consist of us greeting the troops as they get off the busses and get ready to check in and board the plane, as well as us saluting the troops as they board.
We will stage for this mission in our regular location. To get to the staging location, take Drennan/Milton Proby (The main road to the Colorado Springs airport) east from Powers and then take the first right (There are multiple signs with differing names, but this will be the first right and will be called Bud Breckner or Cresterra or Air Cargo rd depending on which sign you see). Take this to Embraer Parkway which should be the first left. Follow this until you come to the end. This will be just outside the gate of the military terminal facility and has an area of pavement on the far right ideal for staging.
If you have not yet filled out the DoD Base Access form (You only need to fill it out once) please do so. The form can be found here:
