The Fitzsimons State Veterans Home Ice Cream Social schedule for 2012 is:
15 JANUARY
12 FEBRUARY
11 MARCH
15 APRIL
13 MAY
10 JUNE
15 JULY
12 AUGUST
09 SEPTEMBER
14 OCTOBER
11 NOVEMBER
09 DECEMBER
The dates are the Sunday following the second Saturday of each month. The Fitzsimons Veterans Home is located at 1919 Quentin Street, in Aurora. We stage at 1:30PM, in the Day Room, and begin serving ice cream to the Residents by 2:00PM. For those that are new PGR Members or have not had the opportunity to participate in these Socials, they are uplifting experiences for both the Resident's and for the Volunteers.

On Sunday, March 11th, Colorado PGR member and Retired Air Force Officer, Rich Owen will be performing in the Day Area at Fitzsimons, starting at 2:00PM. Rich is an accomplished singer, musician and song writer and recently wrote a beautiful song about the PGR. He performed last year at Fitzsimons and was a great hit with the residents and staff.
